In August 2024, the production team flew over to Budapest, Hungary to record a new musical score for The Great Passion Play. The National Philharmonic Orchestra of London recorded the previous score. It has been used since 1984. This score represents a culmination of vast improvements to the Passion Play made since 2012.
The entire sound system is also being upgraded for a surround sound IMAX type experience. The Play goes from one subwoofer to 4 dual 21" subs. The earth literally shakes when the earthquake happens when Jesus dies!
