Here's what our mission trippers have had to say about the experience!
Hayes: "The Great Passion play brings to life the final days of Jesus’s life. Through projects consisting of physical labor and even the play that spreads the word of the lord to thousands. The way the Great Passion Play impacts my life is a way to exercise my calling to ministry based mission work."
Keely: “The Passion Play ignited within me a fire for mission work that has impacted my entire life. The work we did allowed me to realize how huge of an effect I can have on so many people just by working behind the scenes. When we were in the play the reality of Jesus and what he did for us was brought to life and it gave me a deeper understanding of his impact. Because of the Passion Play I have a new appreciation for Jesus sacrifice for us all and the impact I can have on someone else’s life.”
Shelby: “This place is one of my favorite places that I look forward to going to every year. Even if the work is hard and labor intensive, you don’t really even think about that because it’s the people that keep making you want to come back. Having been there multiple times and going back I get the opportunity to see how something that I did, that may have seemed small at the time, has had an impact and helped with the landscape or the petting zoo, or even cleaning the set and fixing it for the play that night. I see God in everything there, from the people you encounter to the hard work you and others are doing."
