· Trails
· People just using the trails should park in parking lot B (that’s the big asphalt parking lot past the main gift shop), and the trailhead is on the left of the grass field by the two signs.
· Permanent signage is also going in on the trail at the end of June. Currently, people need help finding how to stay on Genesis Trail (You can say this: “If you want to stay on Genesis and do the larger loop, when you come to a gravel road you will turn left down it and ride about a quarter of a mile and then cut back onto the trail.”
· And they need help if they take an optional loop near Bethlehem in the Holy Land. Say, “When you come to an asphalt road, follow the trail sign up the mountain for about a hundred yards, and you will see on the left where it cuts back up into the woods towards the Tabernacle.”
· SUMMARY: We have 6 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails open now. The remainder of the 13 miles of trails will be built in the next couple of off-seasons. (18 TO 20 MILES TOTAL) These trails are designed with all user groups in mind (age & skill) and are especially designed for mountain bikes but wide enough to accommodate hikers safely as well. Find out more at www.greatpassionplay.org/trails.html for trail closures due to weather. Genesis & Exodus are beginner trails and Holy Rollers is an intermediate trail (Open Now). An expert level trail called Atonement will be open later this summer (probably mid-July). These are free and open to you too! There is also a FACEBOOK GROUP called Great Passion Play Trails.
