In August 2024, the production team flew over to Budapest, Hungary to record a new musical score for The Great Passion Play. The National Philharmonic Orchestra of London recorded the previous score. It has been used since 1984. This score represents a culmination of vast improvements to the Passion Play made since 2012.

We have been tackling some larger projects at the Passion Play with our mission trip program! In 2024, we would like to replace this wall at the Highway 62 entrance.
Here are the specs: - 120 feet of wall is needed to replace the leaning retaining wall - geogrid 4ft wide will run along the top side of the wall and capstone - backfill with white 1/2 inch drainage rock behind retaining wall - landscape fabric near top capstone to prevent soil from clogging drain - corrugated pipe behind the bottom course - Brutus Blocks are a Romanstone product that we get from the Midwest Block and Brick Company in Springdale (479-750-7887) - 9 inches wide by 8 inches tall by 19 inches long - 80 blocks per course - total blocks needed between 240 blocks to 300 blocks - Midwest Block and Brick can deliver 8 pallets on their short truck (this is the truck that is needed if going up and down big hills...they can carry more on big semi) - Brutus block comes in 36 individual blocks per pallet; Brutus Capstone comes in 48 capstones per pallet - 27 retaining wall lights at 5 watts a piece--135 watts total required--200 watt transformer required--(160 possible) - Order 6 pallets of Brutus Block along with 2 pallets of capstones Cost is approximately $6.62 per Brutus block and $7.34 per capstone. Total Project Cost should be approximately $2,100 for the rock plus drainage rock, bedding sand, corrugated pipe, landscape fabric (bottom and top)
Below are a couple of videos that we reference when looking at cuts for the capstone.
Cast and crew registration for The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, will be on March 6, 2022 on the grounds of The Great Passion Play. Those interested in returning or becoming a member of the cast may apply between 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM on Sunday, March 6. The 2022 season will run from Good Friday and Saturday, April 15 and 16 continuing Memorial Day Weekend through October 29 with a run of approximately 70 performances. Men, women, and children five years of age and older are needed for this year’s cast. There is a particular need for men between the ages of 18 and 60 to play the parts of apostles, priests, and soldiers as well as families with children. The Great Passion Play is "America’s #1 Attended Outdoor Drama” according to the Institute of Outdoor Theatre in Greenville, North Carolina. This magnificent production vividly portrays the final days of Christ’s earthly life. Over 200 actors are hired annually to bring the story to life in a huge outdoor setting under the beautiful Ozark night skies. If you have ever wanted to be a cast member of a world-class theatrical production, let this be your year to apply. Those who have an interest in joining this wonderful cast and who are unable to come to the cast registration are invited to call the Play before March 6 at 479-253-8559 between 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM to be considered, or you can go to GreatPassionPlay.org/applications.html to download the required documents. In conjunction with cast registration, applications will be received, and interviews conducted for the following positions: food service, Holy Land Tour actors, gift shop workers, maintenance, ushers, bus drivers, docents (museum guides), reservations and sales, and grounds positions on the grounds of The Great Passion Play on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Thanks to the hard work of our work crews Missouri Campers on Mission, the Crawford Family and their church, Stanley Cassidy, Steve and Kelly Smith, many others, and the roofing/construction lead Denny and Linda Ball assisted by Mark Scott, we were able to complete the roofing of the Sacred Arts Museum. This was a gargantuan task. We started on Monday, April 5, 2021 with taking off the old tile and finished taking it off on Friday, April 9, 2021. Putting on the new metal faux tile roof, took some time, but due to the hard work and perseverance of Denny and Mark, we were able to finish the project on Friday, May 14, 2021. We still have a ways to go with the restoration of the museum, but we are thankful to have it weather tight!
